Nancy’s Sausage Lasagna


1 onion
1 large clove garlic
4 Sweet Italian Sausage
Red Wine
Whole Milk
28 oz can crushed tomatoes

Box 12 sheets no bake Lasagna Noodles

Fresh Mozzarella
Shredded Mozzarella
Fresh Basil

For the Sauce:  Saute onion in olive oil. When cooked, add minced garlic for 1 minute. Cut sausage out of casing and add to pot. Break up and brown, stirring occasionally. Add wine and cook down. Add milk and cook down. Add tomatoes and simmer for a long time.

Preheat oven to 350°

To Assemble:  using heaping ½ cup measuring cup, layer bottom of 13 x 9 pan with sauce. Layer three rows of pasta, not touching. Top with fresh mozzarella, fresh basil leaves, sauce & sh redded mozzarella. Add another layer of pasta sheets and repeat until all pasta is used up. Top with shredded parmesan.

To Bake:  Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 minutes more.
