The Unnatural Cook

a chronicle of weekly meal plans from someone who can't just throw a meal together

John’s Garlic Bread

(He makes this on the fly, so measurements are approximate – please use your best judgment. It calls for a lot of butter & oil but saturating the bread is what makes it so damn good!)

1 Baguette, sliced in half lenghtwise

3 T. butter

1/4 cup olive oil

5-6 cloves garlic, minced

dill (dried)

Preheat oven to 400˚

Melt butter and oil in small pot over medium low heat. Stir in garlic and cook but don’t brown. Add salt & oregano. Brush bread with garlic mixture. Sprinkle with dill. Put two halves back together & wrap in foil. Bake for 20-30 min (basically however long it takes to make dinner!)
