Ancho Chili Powder


1 bag of dried ancho chilies


Split the chilies & remove the stems and seeds.

Place them flat in a cast iron pan toast over high heat. You can flatten them with a pot lid if you’d like. Toast for 3 – 5 minutes until they get a little blackened, but not burnt.

Place toasted chilies in cuisinart and grind into powder.
